Optimism the new Black

2008 will be remembered for many things – the collapse of financial institutions, auto companies, plunging housing prices, and the ever increasing unemployment rates.  Instead of focusing on the negative Sir David Tang encourages optimism and the return to the basics in this BBC News article.

Financials need at least $1 trillion

(Reuters) – The U.S. financial system still needs at least $1 trillion to $1.2 trillion of tangible common equity to restore confidence and improve liquidity in the credit markets, Friedman Billings Ramsey analyst Paul Miller said.
